Vacaville Right Watch – Document, Monitor, Report.

We Protect Us!

Vacaville Right Watch is a coalition of concerned community groups and members working to monitor & expose hate groups, symbols, and those who represent them in our Solano County community. Our purpose is for community awareness, education & documentation of hate.

Preface:

We acknowledge that there are some symbols in our community which may be construed as “patriotic” or “libertarian” by a few who erroneously associate by these hate symbols by lack of context. We aim to give context as to why these symbols are perceived so dangerously to our community in an act of good faith, in hopes to separate these folks from the rhetoric of vile white-supremacists and their umbrella of dog-whistle paraphernalia.

That said,

For those who are functionally inseparable from the hegemony of these hate groups and actively perpetuate their harm, iconography and mission, our purpose is to document, monitor, and expose them as they are. We can no longer turn a blind eye as they recruit in our city with public & business support. The problem is here and we must acknowledge it.

What we’re doing:

Erasure of history is essential to the erasure of identity, resistance, and how we got here today. Our mission in documenting the hate in our community is with the purpose of publishing and exposing how hate moves in our city – giving us the context to understand who it is, how they do it, and who is most affected by their work. In doing so, we hope to move local discussion away from the question “Is there hate here?” and to the acknowledgement of what do we do about it.

How can you help!

We are meticulous in our work but we can’t do it alone! We’re a community, and time and time again, we’ve proven that only we can protect us. Do your part in monitoring fascist hate organizing in our city. If you see something, and you can safely do so, take a picture, footage or documentation and send it to us confidentially at vvrw@protonmail.com. If you know someone who has been a victim of local hate, send them to our flyer or webpage to document their experience.
