“Clan Meeting” Leaves District Concerned In Vacaville.

Reports cycle of an alleged highschooler in a robe titled “Clan meeting.”

We’ve received submission of an alleged “Clan meeting” either serious or in humor which alleges connection students of Vacaville High School at 100 W Monte Vista Ave.

Principle of VHS, Adam Wight, released a 12.23.20 statement on the matter, saying this:

“Dear Vacaville High School Parents and Community Members,

Early this morning, Vacaville Unified School District and Vacaville High School Administration were made aware of an image circulating on social media. The image claims to involve a Vacaville High School student wearing a white fabric over his head and surrounding a pit fire to resemble a racist meeting.

Administration is currently investigating this post and attempting to identify the student, or students, responsible. Vacaville High School and the Vacaville Unified School District does not condone, nor will tolerate, racist behavior. Once we have more information, we will update our families and community members.

Thank you for your patience as we look into this matter.”

Vacaville Right Watch is still following the story. Whether in humor or seriousness, the toleration of this behavior at any level is permission of this behavior at any level. Even joking representation of the organized hate group of the Ku Klux Klan is a threatening image to communities that have been victimized by this hate organization for generations.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center,

“The Ku Klux Klan, with its long history of violence, is the oldest and most infamous of American hate groups. Although Black Americans have typically been the Klan’s primary target, it also has attacked Jews, immigrants, members of the LGBTQ community and, until recently, Catholics.”

The “KKK” has additionally been known to attack communities of organized labor

The district, which alleges responsibility of a possible highschooler, has yet to be confirmed or identified. We can not confirm if this was done by students, parents, in jest or in seriousness. Hate symbols in our community should always be considered serious.

For every hate symbol that surfaces in our community, we see the “tip of the iceburg” or the head of a greater beast of hate. Scratch a racist joke and you’ll find a household of racists. Scratch a little deeper and you’ll find social groups that, may not be the Klan, but idolize their behavior and emulate them. This is extremely dangerous for anyone who doesn’t share their beliefs and should be taken seriously.

Help Vacaville Right Watch get the facts and get to the bottom of this story. Whether this is gossip & clickbait, or happening in our community, we must treat it with the upmost scrutiny and get the facts. We can’t trust law enforcement to get the facts due to their historic overlap with Ku Klux Klan organizing. We know that only we protect us.
